Launch like any other app

iOS (iPhone/iPad)

Install QuestStream on your iOS device

  1. Open Safari:

    Navigate to queststream.online (must use Safari, not Chrome)

  2. Tap Share button:

    The square with arrow pointing up (bottom center on iPhone, top right on iPad)

  3. Select "Add to Home Screen":

    Scroll down in the share menu until you find this option

  4. Name the app:

    "QuestStream" is pre-filled, tap "Add" in top-right corner

  5. Launch from home screen:

    QuestStream icon appears on home screen, tap to open like any app!

  • โ€ข Must use Safari browser for installation (Chrome won't work on iOS)
  • โ€ข App runs in fullscreen without browser UI
  • โ€ข Can enable notifications in iOS Settings โ†’ QuestStream

Android (Phone/Tablet)

Install QuestStream on your Android device

  1. Open Chrome:

    Navigate to queststream.online in Chrome browser

  2. Look for install prompt:

    Banner appears at bottom: "Add QuestStream to Home screen"

  3. Tap "Install" or "Add":

    If banner doesn't appear, tap menu (โ‹ฎ) โ†’ "Install app" or "Add to Home screen"

  4. Confirm installation:

    Tap "Install" in the dialog that appears

  5. Launch from app drawer:

    QuestStream appears in your app list, opens as standalone app

  • โ€ข Works with Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Samsung Internet
  • โ€ข Can pin to home screen or keep in app drawer
  • โ€ข Notifications work automatically after install

Install QuestStream on your computer

  1. Open browser:

    Chrome, Edge, or Brave work best (Safari on Mac also works)

  2. Visit queststream.online:

    Navigate to the QuestStream website

  3. Look for install icon:

    Install icon (โž• or computer icon) appears in address bar

  4. Click "Install":

    Click the icon โ†’ "Install" in the popup

  5. Launch from applications:

    QuestStream appears in your applications/programs list, opens in its own window

QR Code Device Authorization

HBO Max-style secure device pairing for your family

Instead of logging in on every device, use QR codes to authorize new devices instantly and securely.

How to Authorize a New Device:

  1. On your already-authorized device (parent):
    • Go to Parent Profile in sidebar
    • Scroll to Device Authorization section
    • Click "Generate QR Code" button
    • QR code appears on screen (valid for 10 minutes)
  2. On the new device you want to authorize:
    • Open QuestStream (don't log in)
    • Visit the device authorization page
    • Tap "Scan QR Code"
    • Point camera at QR code on other device
  3. Instant authorization:

    New device is authorized immediately! You're logged in and ready to use.

  • โ€ข Works even if child doesn't know password
  • โ€ข Secure (codes expire after 10 min)
  • โ€ข Perfect for setting up children's devices

Troubleshooting Device Setup

Common issues and solutions

โ“ Install prompt doesn't appear

  • โ€ข iOS: Must use Safari, not Chrome or other browsers
  • โ€ข Android: Use menu (โ‹ฎ) โ†’ "Install app" or "Add to Home screen"
  • โ€ข Desktop: Look for install icon in address bar (may be hidden in menu)
  • โ€ข Try opening in incognito/private mode first, then regular browser

  • โ€ข Enable camera permissions for QuestStream
  • โ€ข Make sure QR code is fully visible and well-lit
  • โ€ข Check if QR code expired (generate new one)
  • โ€ข Try increasing screen brightness on device showing QR code

  • โ€ข Close app completely and reopen
  • โ€ข Clear browser cache in device settings
  • โ€ข Uninstall PWA and reinstall from website

  • โ€ข Visit pages while online first (they get cached)
  • โ€ข Service worker may take a few minutes to activate
