How Families Work in QuestStream
QuestStream is designed for families to manage quests, rewards, and track children's progress together.
Creating Your Family
When you first register as a parent, a family is automatically created for you. You become the primary parent of this family.
What you can do as a family creator:
- Add children to your family
- Invite co-parents to help manage the family
- Create and assign quests
- Manage rewards in the family shop
- Track all children's progress
Joining an Existing Family
If your spouse or partner already has a QuestStream family, they can invite you to join as a co-parent.
How to receive an invitation:
- The primary parent goes to Settings โ Family
- They enter your email address and click "Send Invitation"
- You receive a notification (if you have an account) or an email (if you don't)
- Click the invitation link to accept
๐ก If you don't have an account yet:
The invitation email will include a link to create your account and automatically join the family in one step!
After joining as a co-parent:
- You'll have full access to manage all children in the family
- You can create and assign quests
- You can approve quest completions
- You can manage rewards and settings
- Both parents have equal permissions
Co-Parenting Features
QuestStream is designed for families with multiple parents working together.
- Shared access: All parents see the same children, quests, and rewards
- Real-time updates: When one parent makes changes, others see them immediately
- Notifications: Both parents receive notifications about quest completions and activities
- Flexible management: Any parent can invite additional co-parents if needed
Adding Children
Once you're in a family (either as creator or co-parent), you can add children.
- Go to My Children in the parent dashboard
- Click the "Add Child" button
- Enter your child's name and date of birth
- Set up a PIN for your child (so they can securely select their profile)
- Start creating quests for them!
